Metal Etching Kits jewelry making?
Hello! Can anyone tell me where in New York or online I can get a kit of metal engraving? What chemicals are involved, and are easy to use? Metal to be etched, silver brass, copper. In short, what is the process? Currently I'm creating and selling jewelry. This is for home use. Any advice would be appreciated!

3 tips for getting the best Jewelry Making Tools for Wire Work
Whoever wants to make great jewelry work son needs to have the right tools. Many from beginners to jewelry making - and even some of us who have done this for awhile have a little intimidated when it comes to the world of tools. Some jewelry manufacturers in fact be a little stubborn and try to work a single tool for all possible configurations. It simply does not! You really need a variety of tools for better success.
Here is the list of my best tools beginners (and frugal spirit Person 's) for jewelry wire work:
* The most important first: your clip-nosed, chain-nose, round nose
* A pair good quality of cut flower side
* A good smooth steel plate (which is a formidable alternative is cheaper than a steel bench block)
* A hardware store hammer
* A small nylon or rawhide mallet
* A flat file (found either in hardware or a DIY store)
* Fine steel wool (for cleaning and polishing)
These tools will help you master work of jewelry wire and create many beautiful pieces of jewelry.
Now that you know what you need, you may be wondering where to find these things. Some advice so that you do not waste your money:
Tip # 1:
tools is not great hardware. "The hardware store?" you may ask, "is where the bulb scales and live." But no, my darling little chick, you can find some of your jewelry manufactures tools, hardware. Remember that you will work with a wire and the wire is rigid and hard. It makes perfect sense that your perfect tools to live the hardware, just waiting to be discovered. Get a hammer, a flat file, steel wool and a nylon mallet - all at the hardware store! Best of all, often Jewelry Making Supplies hardware will be cheaper than supplies from craft store!
Tip # 2
Pay for quality so you do not pay for mistakes. This may sound funny to say, after the tip No. 1, but there is a time for spending money. This is where to spend your money: a clamp. Never ever your clamp from the hardware store. Here here you need to splurge on specialty stuff.
It seems that many manufacturers of jewelry wire work to tighten their belts a bit on their claws (been there, done that!), So they extra money to spend on supplies. But only as something dependent on your credit card to avoid paying cash: not really a good deal. You need a pair of quality you see through all the son working draft of jewelry making you do. If you buy cheapie clip, you will soon have trouble getting them to do for you. There is nothing more frustrating than working on a large piece and have your tools not work as well as you. The key to reducing costs is knowing when - and pliers is not the place to save. When he These clips, you are wise to buy quality tools that keep pace!
Tip # 3:
jewelry working tools making wire kit may be many. But you do not need to study exactly what is included in this kit. Many boats kits are created to they can be given as gifts or purchased by a beginner who can not fully understand what they need. We've already talked exactly what tools you need. So if you see a wire tool kit that includes lots of great clips and a hammer or other tools for a price premium, then it is a good deal. But if she did not have the tools above and includes various types of tools, then it is created to make different types of jewelry and will not be useful for what you want to do.
Manufacturing son of jewelry work is very dependent on having the right tools. The more you informed about your tools - the strengthening of your jewelry making skills become.
son happy working!
