Melting metal machine to make jewelry for kids?
I use to have this little toy machine that I would put in the little pellets of silver or metal into like a little melting pot and I would have to transfer it over to a yellow gummy looking mold that would be two sided and once I let it cool it would have the shape of the mold and I would be able to make it into a necklace charm, earrings, etc. It was literally your way of customizing metal jewelry for kids.
I lost it when I moved and never have found anything like it since. I now want to find one for my little one to experiment with. I think she's old enough already to know how to be careful but then again I was 6 or 7 when I had it and never got burned (It was really safe for kids).
Anyone know what I'm talking about or anything like it that I could get for both of us to have fun with? If I'm not mistaken then whole theme color of the machine was yellow and purple.

I don't know if they still sell that one (I remember more the ones that used the gummy looking stuff in metal molds, like Creepy Crawlers), but there are other materials you could use in molds that would look like metal (or other "fauxs") or just be any color and pattern you wanted, to make jewelry or lots of other things.

Polymer clay is a plastic but can be made to look like metal (or turquoise, pearl, jade, wood, leather, stone, etc, etc), and it can easily be shaped in most kinds of molds (even those made from polymer clay). The polymer clay is usually removed from the mold for baking to harden though (275 F, home oven, about 10-45 minutes depending on thickness), but "liquid polymer clay" or solid polymer clay can be left in molds while baking if the molds are made from silicone putties (by you or purchased molds) too.
