Artistic hobbies that could take up?
I'm very artistic and when I was about eight or nine years I made pearl jewelry and chain. They were very nice too, but I gave up on that long ago. I really want to be an art teacher one day, too. Last week I made a cup of mud in the summer reading program for teens. And kind of enjoy that, but there is probably something better for me. I know how to make origami, taught me online and I have about twenty hanging from my bedroom ceiling. I just want something that's great, I have a lot of free time and need a hobby to occupy. And I like the artistic things. Just go crazy! Tell me the supplies needed and the level of difficulty and perhaps the way to do it, otherwise I'm going to google. It is also very difficult to point? Oh, and I made lip gloss once. That was fun.
From my experience, is a bit difficult to learn to knit, crochet, but is a simple alternative. The network has worked with only one needle. All you need is some wool and needles of suitable size for
Candy Crafts
My children definitely inherited my sweet tooth and always ask a breeder or a Tootsie Roll is happy here. So if they going to eat sweets, unless I can do is try to have fun and creative situation. Using my noodle, I gathered some ideas activities for birthday parties, play dates, time to craft ... I will not lie, I probably "borrowed" some of my ideas girlfriends (and husbands too of course! credit must be given where credit is due ...)
1. Make your own custom trail mix.
Simple! You can buy an assortment of candy and nuts in bulk (I'd rather buy candycentral.com ... they have a large selection and low prices). Divide the treats up into different bowls, and then pack them for your dining pleasure! To add a little spice, you have the choice of bags of party favors and gifts different colored ribbons for packaging. Children can make tasty gift bags and exchange with each other.
2. Create a soft, juicer, fruit, the gingerbread man! (Hold the ginger and keep the bread)
If you already have in terms of baking cookies, make sure you have a knife Gingerbread Man cookie on hand. After the little men are cooked oven, spread frosting flavor favorites on the entire upper surface. You can then use jelly beans, Nerds, Skittles, even from licorice and other fun colorful small candies to decorate your gingerbread man own. Fun Tip: Use licorice for hair!
3. Jewelry making candy
OK ... of course - you can always buy a bunch of pastel candy necklace s already put in place ... but what's the fun in that? I think it would be fun to customize each necklace (or bracelet) to each child. It's a good idea to keep children busy during a birthday party. Ok, here's what you'll need:
- Bites candy that comes in a variety colors. Preferably, the kind that does not melt right away. Ie gummy bears, jelly beans, lifeguards (they are the best because they have a hole pre-made), points, etc.
- Pull-n-Peel Twizzlers or just regular thong.
- Toothpicks and scissors.
Just use the toothpick to prick holes in candies and strings on Twizzlers (a song ripped at a time) or use the bead chain.
The lanyard will last longer that the chain of candy, but in my experience, it does not really matter because the candy will be eaten anyway!
4. Go Fish with Swedish Fish!
Honestly, I do not want to offend parents by teaching their children the pleasure of gambling. After while we use candy, not money. Assuming you already know the rules of the classic card game, Go Fish, proceed to the cards to all players. Each time a player is told: "Go Fish", they must draw a card from the pool .... and Swedish Fish from the bowl of candy. In this version of the game, everybody wins!
5. You will not need a crystal ball to a fortune teller ... who is got a crush on Candy Hearts that using Sweethearts.
When I was a little girl, we had all sorts of games to predict this "very complicated" life little love. Remember those little fingers origami fortune? Well it is still easier to do. I'd say the best way to go candy craft would take to give children (or adults and older children ...) many options. Put your personal touch to any of the above ideas. Make sure you have a variety of sweets at home. There are many online vendors who sell candy in bulk.
