An unknown was positive with the chromic acid test, Tollen's Test and the DNP test. What is the unknown?
Since the DNP test is only positive for ketones and aldehydes, and the Jones (chromic acid) and Tollen's tests are only positive for aldehydes, I have reason to believe, rather, I am positive that your unkown contains an aldehyde.
